What is Sports Therapy?

Deep Tissue Massage North Devon

Sports Therapy means the science and art of applying massage and related techniques, manipulating soft tissue to ensure the health and wellbeing of the client and enhance performance whether the tension is caused by sport, injury, or simply the stresses of modern life.

We need physical activity to keep us fit and healthy, and it is beneficial for all tissues in the body, however many injuries are caused by exercising with a biomechanical weakness/ imbalance. By correcting weaknesses and imbalances the risk of injury or re-injury can be reduced, this can be done with a combination of biomechanical analysis, massage and exercise advice.
